E-Book vs Textbook Studying

E-Book vs Textbook Studying

As the generations progress technology has become a big part in the use of school. The original creation of the textbook was to group important information into a book that was portable. The book became a staple in the education system since teachers were able to reference back to physical evidence. They included text about the subject, pictures, and even class activities. However, the the technological developments the textbook as we all know it became something known as an eBook. This was created as a digital version of the original creation of the textbook. The eBook is supposed to be the new and easy way to get the same materials that a text book provides in a convenient and fast way.
Textbook is a book that is used by students as a standard work for a particular branch of study. Many times it is preferred by professors and older students to use and have a physical book to learn and study from. It provides a safe and concrete way to have the information needed to learn the specific subject. Many textbooks are expensive and have many different versions because of the constant updating information. Textbooks are located in local libraries and can be transported easily among friends.
E-Book is an electronic version of a traditional print book. This is used among many 21st century students because it convenient. Prices are cheaper and they are easily found online. E-books can be read virtually from any electronic device. They can also be rented for a period of time as well bought. However, the downside is always having to look at a screen while doing work which can eventually cause problems with eyesight and even arthritis. Many online websites have adapted to the change that students are now preferring e-books.
There are pros & cons to both but at the end of the day it is up to student to decide. Is portability more important than reliability? Wifi many times has issues that cause people issues of not being able to access their books/ homework so a physical textbook would be better. What do you think? Which do you prefer?
